There was an additional learning block included in the new Training and Competency (T&C) Model, left to industry to develop – the Manager of Activities Requiring TTM.

For many years, the system of learning has supported a narrow band of roles – and for those performing functions that are not ‘on-road’ the options have been limited.  Not anymore. Waka Kotahi included a new qualification in the new Training and Competency (T&C) Model – the Manager of Activities Requiring TTM

Who Is It For?

Waka Kotahi provides the following learner profile:

“People who are managing activities requiring TTM resources (eg Project Managers, Managers of TTM Planners) and do not require more detailed TTM qualifications – these people would generally employ others to undertake TTM.”

So if you are in a role that oversees Traffic Management either in a project environment, managerially, or even financially – this qualification is for you.

This Blended-learning Training Package Has Two Parts:

1. An online self-paced eLearning knowledge portion

This is done in your own time, at your own pace and takes approximately 2-hours. The aim of this portion is to generate a base level of knowledge around framework and terminology.

2. An in-person facilitated one-day workshop

This workshop, held with a maximum of 10-participants, would be an interactive scenario-based learning environment to generate application of knowledge across a range of environments. Working in groups, the workshop would explore the different phases of how TTM happens from procurement through to execution and review.

Both portions of the qualification have assessment components to validate ability so graduates walk away with a confirmed understanding of the workshop learning outcomes.

This new workshop will be launching by the end of 2021 and Parallaxx are looking for registrations of interest to be involved in the pilot programme to be executed in November.

If you, or your organisation might benefit from a tailored qualification focused on Managers of TTM activities – fill out the registration of interest link below and we will provide regular updates and invitations for involvement as opportunities become available.
