Challenge

This is major safety improvement project along SH2 through the Bay of Plenty area. It involves widening of the existing two lane, two way SH. There are not significant shoulders and so working space is extremely tight. Two way traffic must be maintained at all times due to minimal alternate routes for detours

Solution

Utilising staff who operate in the Waikato/BOP area and their local knowledge we've been able to complete barrier designs that account for the minimal road widths and provide the safest option for road users and workers. We've also supplied on site personnel to assist with installation of barrier systems and conduct site audits
