Challenge

To create a framework for NZTA to release to RCA's for expanding footpaths and cycleways during the COVID-19 Levels due to higher levels of pedestrian and cycle use utilising TTM methodologies with less vehicles on the road. COVID-19 requirements have a 2m spacing between people not within their own "bubble" so utilising the carriageway is being explored.

Solution

The wider Parallaxx team got behind this project to generate a fast and effective solution for NZTA and New Zealand as a whole. From complex risk assessments to generic traffic management diagrams and communications plans - our team put their brain power to the test in this unprecedented time.
