Challenge

This project is one part of the overall City Rail Link Project - the largest construction project ever undertaken in New Zealand. The C5 section involves the upgrade of the Normanby intersection and level crossing. An upgrade of the Porters Ave level crossing is required. All this needs to tie in with the C3 program and staging.

Solution

Shared TTM planning and resources with the C3 Mt Eden team to ensure optimum traffic flows and least disruption for the road users. Kiwirail has been involved with the facilitation of the upgrade of the level crossings.

Results

The project is in the early stages and is expected to be completed by 2024. Parallaxx provides the Traffic Manager, Traffic 2IC and all TTM design for this critical , nationally significant, project.
